Finance System Specialist - Healthcare

Description

A leading private hospital group requires an experienced individual to join them as a Finance Planning Specialist. Your responsibilities will revolve around financial planning, analysis, reporting, and decision-making to support the organization's objectives and ensure financial health and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and evaluate opportunities for improvement. This includes analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), financial statements, and operational data.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Cost Management: Manage and control costs across various functions such as production, procurement, and distribution. Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans by providing financial insights and analysis. Support decision-making processes by evaluating the financial implications of strategic initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management, board members, and other stakeholders. Clearly communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Information Systems related field
  • NO LESS than 6 years' experience, 2 years' of that should be in a Health care environment 
  • The purpose of this role is to ensure the maintenance and updates on the accounting system for the whole accounting department. This includes the creation and maintenance of financial reports using a variety of report writing software. 
  • Coordinate projects to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department by introducing and implementing new technology and new systems.

  • Stakeholder engagement and management

Non-negotiables:

  • Relevant Bachelor degree

Our Doha based client requires an experienced luxury yacht fleet manager to oversee the maintenance and management of  their luxury yacht fleet based in the Maldives.

The role is tasked with overseeing the company's fleet of yachts, ensuring that each vessel is maintained at optimal levels and utilized efficiently and cost-effectively to fulfill operational needs.

This involves managing a robust yacht maintenance program, aiming to extend the lifespan of the yacht fleet by ensuring safe operations, timely repairs, and contributing to the evaluation and maintenance of manpower, equipment, and yacht allocation for enhanced fleet operations efficiency.

Role specific responsibilities:

  • Oversee, manage and remain accountable for the comprehensive maintenance program for the yacht fleet, ensuring that all vessels are well-maintained and comply with safety standards.
  • Oversee the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment associated with the yacht fleet, ensuring they meet performance standards, minimize downtime, contributing to the longevity and reliability of the fleet.
  • Directs the fleet management strategy that supports the company's operational requirements and values, and that ensures the efficient and cost-effective use of the yachts.
  • Manage budgets, including operational costs, maintenance expenses, and procurement of new vessels or upgrades. 
  • Ensure optimal and cost-effective use of yachts to meet the company's operational requirements, regulatory and legal compliance, maximizing efficiency in yacht deployment.
  • Enforce and uphold safety protocols and emergency response plans, to ensure the secure operation of all yachts, minimizing risks and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Assist in evaluating and maintaining effective allocation of manpower, optimizing the workforce for efficient fleet operations.

Qualifications and experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Maritime Management, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or other related discipline 
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the industry of which at least 2 in a similar position.

                                • Guest Services – unpacking/packing luggage, cleaning shoes, replacing amenities and wardrobe management whenever is required
                                • Identifying and reporting maintenance issues
                                • Bed Making
                                • Cleaning of Bathrooms and Bedrooms
                                • HK Lockers and HK storages Cleaning and arranging
                                • Extra deep cleaning – off season
                                • Sanitation of Gym equipment daily
                                • Sanitation of Shower Head and Jacuzzi
                                • You might be expected to go to other properties and will adhere to such a request
                                • To be careful with the cleaning materials, linen, towel and other consumables
